I don't think we'll have another back rush for 2,000 again for a long time. Not because we won't have good RB's, but because A) He was the only offense we had, and B) Runningbacks just don't get 2000 yards in the NFL or NCAA that often... it's just not an easy task. TD's records are safe...... at least for a long time.

Troy Davis was one of a kind and I doubt we will see the likes of him at ISU again. His records are safe.

Re: What Cyclone Records will NEVER be broken?
Sam Hiil 1985 vs Maryland Eastern Shore- 4 fouls in 1:36 of game time. Nah, I'm just kidding. But, if anyone could pull that off Sam could. If you look at a mens BB press guide Sam holds almost every record involving committing a foul.

Most Sideline Claps, Season
2645, Dan McCarney, 2002 DEFINITELY THE POST OF THE DAY, THAT IS ONE RECORD I HOPE NOBODY BREAKS. I THINK THAT TROY'S ALL PURPOSE YARDS WOULD BE A DIFFICULT NUMBER TO ECLIPSE, ALTHOUGH WITH THE EXTRA GAMES IT IS POSSIBLE. HOWEVER, THIS ONE ISN'T PROBABLY IN THE BOOKS, BUT WHEN TROY RAN FOR 3 FIRST DOWNS AGAINST COLORADO WITH THE SAME DRAW PLAY. THE FIRST 2 WERE CALLED BACK ON HOLDING IT WAS 3RD AND 3O, THE EXACT SAME DRAWPLAY MADE A FIRST DOWN ALL 3 TIMES INCLUDING THE 3RD AND 30. MAC'S NEVER ENDING OFFENSIVE STRATEGY THAT THERE IS NO WAY THE OTHER TEAM WOULD EXPECT US TO RUN THE EXACT SAME PLAY 3 TIMES IN A ROW.
SPEAKING OF DRAW PLAYS MOST CONSECUTIVE EVER RAN AGAINST IOWA WHEN WE BEAT THEM 14-16 SHOULD HAVE BEEN 14-42. I THINK WE RAN THAT COUNTER DRAW PLAY TO THE RIGHT AT LEAST 65 TIMES IN THAT GAME. I WON'T MISS THAT.
Two favorite teams, the Cyclones, and whoever is playing the Hawkeyes! -

Didn't someone lead the nation in kickoff returns one year?

Re: What Cyclone Records will NEVER be broken?
How many times Bret rolled to his right and passed out of bounds to Todd in a season: 16.
Fair catch punt returns in one season by Todd: 25.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Todd Bandauer, most INT in the endzone, everytime it really counted, unfortunately Meyer may have caught him, the last two seasons weren't real friendly in the red zone.

We will never break this one again:
Most Consecutive Losses

Re: What Cyclone Records will NEVER be broken?
I don't think we'll ever see Troy's records broken. The guy would regularly carry the ball 40+ times a game. That just doesn't happen anymore.
