Yes, the Rag caters to Hawk fans, that is true. But saying Cyclone fans are 'vastly outnumbered' in the state of Iowa is just plain ignorant.
Agreed. I want them in there again so either an SEC or Big 12 team will put the hurt on them.

Mister Homer Sir ... I can answer that...Its real easy to pick against Iowa State These Days because it looks like another 3 or 4 win season.

Ignorant? How about perceptive. I don't know how well you know the state of Iowa, but Cyclone country is best described as the creme filling in the middle of a Black and Gold Twinkie.

Once you grasp that truth my friend you will understand why Keeler & the DMRag writes things like this, why the sexual assault case has been handled off the radar the way it has, and why rural farmers proudly ship their children off to a school that has nothing in common with the lifestyle that pays the tuition bills.

Our team was so close to winning 5 games last year and had made huge improvements toward the end of the season, it seems like these writers are forgetting that, or never even knew it.

3 weeks from tonight. 3 weeks.
Why would Keeler want to show Iowa State any respect? He has no self respect spewing this toxic crap in print for the world to see. His rants are simplistic and show a pathetic lack of knowledge. Players learning new systems on the fly and started showing drastic improvements down the stretch by winning games in the Big XII?? The Clones are going to shock a lot of people this year in my opinion but not Keeler. Keeler will just right another story about how he knew Iowa State was going to be good all along.

Just heard Jon Miller do a Big 10 vs. Big 12 matchup......maybe I just caught the end of it, but it sounded like they were predicting the Big 10 teams in sweeping fashion. Could be wrong there, as I only heard the last 5.

Keeler has already proven that he's adept at eating crow-remember last basketball season? Apparently he enjoys the dish...

Dead on right. There is a reason the Hawkeyes get 70k plus in their stadium nearly every home game, while the Cyclones struggle to get 40-45k -- most Iowans are Hawkeye fans. Tough for some Clone fans to admit, but it is the truth. The only way that ever changes is to have the success they've had on the field -- Iowa State needs to take advantage of Iowa's struggles with a couple of big seasons (New Year's Day bowl games) to have even a chance of shifting things. If that happens, the Register and the average bandwagon fan will jump aboard. Until then, no reason to get so pissed at Sean Keeler or any of the other reports at the Register. Just not worth it.

You were right. That idiot Wolfgang had Big 10 going 9-2 against big 12 (not including Iowa State)

If the Big10/Iowa were Granada and the Big12/ISU were the United States Hawk fans could still find twenty reasons why the U.S. would be blown out.

He has his opinion, OK, here's mine. If I-State (I've got to remember to use that more) had Iowa's schedule this year, we'd be bowling. I do not buy, by a long shot, that we are worse than every other Big 10 team. I really think we'd win 4/8 in conference with their schedule.

Wolfgang comes on to the show to make Miller look like less of an Iowa homer. He's an idiot.

Too bad the state doesn't have a decent newspaper. I predict, the Rag will soon be history as its sales continue to plummet. Why fret over this lighweight sports writer?
