They are undoubtedly trying different combinations on the OL but from the scrimmage pics it looks like the 1st string OL (at least for that scrimmage) was as follows:

LT Dedrick
LG Osemele
C Alvarez
RG Lamaak
RT Hulbert

This team does not need more Ryan Kock players too be successful. We need bigtime playmakers.

Lets not forget our Oline was improved last year, but by no means was great. I just hope that we can actually put up some points against some really bad teams.

To me Robert McFarland is worth his weight in gold (and he is a big guy). I was actually very pleased with play calling last year.

Go Clones! Go Knights!

I agree that the line was not great at the end of the year, but compared to the mess that not run against UNI, it was lightyears better at the end of the year. That is the one thing that makes me hopeful for this year. Everyone is back and there are a couple of big red shirts in the mix.

This is also why I don't understand why everyone thinks that the Iowa OL will be great this year. I know they had a couple of guys hurt last year, but in their last game of 2007 they were horrible against a Michigan directional school that was not good on defense at all.
