Hate to tell you friend, but you have this backwards. I'm sure you're giddy you learned a new term in class this week. Now try applying it correctly. If anything in this discourse follow that defintion it's yours
"If this is such a horrible burden on your life that it can't possibly be easily managed for you personally...."
Mine are nothing more than fact, if not sarcastic retort in the first response. The second is simply a factual question and not even in the realm of an informal falacy. People DO have to drive hours and DO have children to get to school. It's an issue. Yet you seem to care little and simply state "Horrible burden" and "easily managed" without the slightest clue of what issues the person may or may not have.
And fwiw, you're the one providing the over-simplified answer to the issue. "Just plan ahead". As in "everyone can go, just plan ahead". Not always that easy for many people.

Class? I didn't know us old folks still got to go to school.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I will acknowledge the comment of mine you quoted could possibly be construed as starting a straw man, so if it helps, I'll plead guilty as charged on that one. That said, it doesn't change my opinion that you're guilty of the same on the examples provided.
I'm sure we're boring everyone else to tears by now on this thread, so I"m willing to call for a truce.

Fine by me. I'm ready for football. But fwiw - I don't think any comments in the thread can be completely construed as such.
