I know we're eventually going to see posts asking 'when are we going to see our recruiting upgrade,' but I like seeing us get aggressive with early offers. If this kid, like most of our other early commits, were getting offers just before signing day, I might be concerned. However, I trust this staff enough to feel confident that all these early offers are a matter of better, and earlier, evaluation than other BCS schools.

Yes they pulled their offer once they realized he had no prior arrests. Failed to fit the team mold.

Tough question, but does anyone know the most recruits that we have had verbally committed before the first football game in the past 20 or so years? I'm pretty sure this is the most I have ever seen since I've been following it closely for about the past 6 years.
