Leonard Johnson, former running back/qb/4.5 guy, returning punts, already in the ball game on defense? Possibly. Makes sense to me. We will not be surprised. Better than a Clone Fair Catch (CFC).

By a Clone Fair Catch do you mean a fumble?

CFC to me were the last eighteen Clone punt returns, which resulted in fair cathes by Todd. He had strict orders not to try a punt return, just catch the ball after earlier fumble misfortunes by others. That was charity to the other team. They never had to worry about a return.

Since I ran into Johnson in the elevator at the Gateway hotel where he struck up a conversation with me during his official visit the morning of the Iowa game last year, I've been high on him. He's a real personable guy and will serve as an excellent ambasador to Iowa State. And apparently he's a pretty good football player too. I see good things with this team.

Guys I knew that wrestled weren't always the biggest, hardest hitters, but they had excellent tackling techniques. A far cry from the '06 ankle biters....
