Rodgers Says Darks Will Play
"Darius is going to play," Rodgers said. "He is a player. I'm really excited about him, and he's really progressed really well in the last couple of weeks."

Re: Rodgers Says Darks Will Play
nice read, good to see some step up from Darks and I love the after the play ability I am hearing Carlson has. A little was said of him, but not a whole lot about Sedrick Johnson overall yet from practice. Anybody heard anything on him or is he being kept under wraps? (i am sure that will be impossibe come the A&M game)

SJ has been out with a slight hammy injury.

Re: Rodgers Says Darks Will Play
According to a Michigan State fan on the CR free board who claims to know Darks, Darius is running with the 1s at slot receiver. Now, we know that this staff often alternates 1s and 2s, so maybe it doesn't mean he will start, but it certainly means the staff thinks a lot of him.

IMO, our group of receivers will be better than last year. I don't think it will be subtle either.

But our QB last year was the opposite of green and he was not impressive (that was the nicest comment I could make).

We need improvement at each position on the offensive side of the ball just to be average in the Big 12.

However, I'm not sure we should be overly concerned with that - as well as decision making. It's not like the best decisions have been made at that position the last couple years.
And no, I don't blame Meyer for all of that.

Re: Rodgers Says Darks Will Play
There is no doubt our WR's will be better than last year. Couldn't be much worse IMO. Todd Blythe would have loved to have Sed J and Darks line up with him. When was the last time a WR of ours got separation for a corner?

Re: Rodgers Says Darks Will Play
My best case scenario is that we run the ball superb early in the games in that running the ball effectively is going to make the passing game for Arnaud/Bates 100 times easier and will allow him to get into a groove. If we don't run the ball well early on and is forced to pass, might be giving up some turnovers.

I think as the season wears on, we'll see RJ move into the #3 and even #4 receiver role.

Is it 2 weeks from today yet?
