I think they both need to share time at least for the first couple of games – who knows how each one will react on game night in front of 40,000 fans. Share time the first couple of games and then go in with a clear starter for the EIU game in Iowa City.
I think choice of offense will dictate the qb. I suspect Clones will want to control the game if possible. Bates is better for the running game. If we get behind asndf go pure passing, AA comes in. Tiller sits on sideline as a redshit, just in case an injury occurs to one of the qbs.
Is this the most depth the Clones have had in years? Two years ago McC said no one was pushing the starters. Things have changed.
