"Chizik" doesn't belong in the same sentence with.

"fear."

Otherwise I agree with this post 100%.

Chizik is going to put the best players on the field that give us the best chance to win each and every play...period. Bates is going to be on the field a lot...mark my words.

We have 2 QB's this year. 2! Bates won't play anything but QB. Even if AA gets 90% of the snaps. It won't happen

Gene used to be a DC? I had no idea. I guess we all learn new stuff every day.

I was referencing his approach as a DC at both AU and UT...not the fact that he was a DC.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Jeremy needs to add the clock back into th website.

EIU is the other Okoboji University for serious students and home of Captain Kirk who pilots the Enterprise on its Trek through the Universe for finding his next great job. Captain, beware of your Superbowl.

Living in fear my *** (previous post). It's knowing and respecting possibilties when you have two running quarterbacks in the current college game. Just because Meyer stayed healthy, doesn't mean they will. Murphy's Law, Cyclone Edition. Remember also that Mac called less rushing plays for Meyer so that he wouldn't get hurt, and AA would get his redshirt in.

And if you just casually want to put Tiller at the helm with no more familiarity with the playbook than Phillip had last fall...holy cow, I can't even find words for that.

Re: McFarland says both QB's will play against SDSU

How badly do we need another WR? Enough to burn a red-shirt like last year? Enough to risk our backup QB? Are we well enough stocked at WR (assuming no injuries) without using Phil?

Next year, do Tiller, Bates, and Arnaud all stay at QB? Maybe that will explain how Bates is utilized this year.
