I can't believe I actually opened a thread quoting Marty and Miller.

The real question is, what is Marty's dentist saying?

I think both of them simply read different threads on CF.

I want to thank these two for quite a stunt. The last 10 or 15 minutes of the show - which was live from Meet the ISU coaches night- they interviewed Jon HawkeyeNation Miller and talked Hawks/Big 10 network for the REMAINDER of the show.

You stay classy...

Maybe they were trying to JDM to call out the posters on HN predicting 20 wins for Lickitlighter's team?

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

That's a bad job out of Marty.....

I actually heard the Houston Jones has been secretly taking snaps and been Seneca Wallace esque in practice. Houston will be the starter for SDSU and that is what "Mean Gene's" media address will say.

In a way neither of them are right. I mean one will end up having to be right, but the truth is that it's a 50-50 guess and that's all they are doing.

Whenever those guys have a "source" it's BS... Can you believe that the people in one of the prime slots in the only local radio station in Des Moines, know NOTHING about sports or have ANY inside info? I realize if they aren't able to do it, but they can't even get anyone on their show that has legitimate inside info.

Know why? Marty throws everyone under the bus when he doesn't get what he wants... Cotlar may be boring to listen to but the reason why he has all of these contacts and gets quality guests is because he's a professional. Marty is an amateur at best that doesn't deserve to be in the radio in a sports capacity.

He's better served doing morning "mancow style" shows where you can just say crazy things or say whatever you want without having any kind of legit facts or expertise.

They were right about Brewster and Norvell.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

I think he's probably right or close to right. There'll probably be closer to 42K in the seats though. JP doesn't really lie with actual numbers. I've had meetings with the guy in the past and he's always been straight up with me. He's also probably factoring in a conservative estimate of $10 tickets sold on Sunday....

You can also add 2 more tix to that list as I finally had some fundage available to get some hillsides! Not ideal, but I'm thinking I can move around to an open section or sneak in the student section (I graduated 8 months ago, so I won't feel all THAT old doing it)......

Is it kickoff yet??

This would be funny if we didn't have people on here predicting the same thing for Mac's team next year.

Unless I missed part of the interview I thought he said "45,000 would be a good crowd" taking it as he doesn't expect that many.
