Is Tate really 285?

his picture in the article in the Ames paper makes him look pretty thin for 285. Even if he is 285, isn't that small for a DT?

The weight wouldnt be too noticeable if he werent a lot taller than a lot of our past DT's.

I cant remember the last time the Hawgeyes have had a DT that weighed over 285, and they have had some pretty decent D's. I think its a matter of talent and strength, more than weight.

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

These days, it is only slightly undersized. If you look across the country, most of the top inside guys are less than 300 lbs. these days.

When I first saw this title, I thought maybe Drew "face full of turf" Tate had let himself go up in the CFL .

This is the sarcasm pirate. If you see him anywhere in my post, it means I was being sarcastic. Thank you. Actually there's a good chance I'm being sarcastic even if I forgot the pirate. I'm not to be taken too seriously.

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system.
