Ranking the 2008 College Head Coaches

Scout.com: Ranking the 2008 Head Coaches

77. Gene Chizik, Iowa State – Chizik is an ace as a defensive coordinator, but can he excel as the head man? His first season in Ames produced just three wins, but it’ll take a couple of years and recruiting classes before an accurate reading of his potential can be made.</p>

Really hard to argue against this point. We all think he's doing great things, and we saw the program turn a little bit last year, but in the grand scheme of things he hasn't done anything yet.

Attempt #4
The ongoing story of the persistent attempts to get to the other side.

Because he is at Nebraska and they always pick the right guy for the job. I do agree what they say about Chizik is true, time will tell.

I'm not an expert on sports, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night

Pelini above Chizik, the guy has never been HC.

And Mike Sherman. I guess he has Pro HC experience, but college is another level. Maybe with a program thats better than ISU it's deserved.

Yeah, they kind of lose credibility with me when they do that. If they haven't been head coach yet, you can't really put them in this discussion. He shouldn't even be in the list.
