I saw the outline of Iowa State in the north endzone when I got my tickets and t-shirt yesterday.

Wow. Didn't realize they just use those same peel off decals that I put on my car.

"That, looks great - but who are the Chefs?"

I think it looks pretty sweet - however, I think they need to find a way to make it stand out a little bit more - that paint seems to get lost in the green of the grass VERY easily...

Is it just me, or does the end zone painting look faded?

Perhaps they can add a Navy blue outline to it?

But don't tell me that you don't think this needs another 3 coats of paint - AT LEAST...

I think you do have a point - I think I recall a thread earlier this year when they ripped up the sod to replace it they found that the logos were "painted" onto the dirt.

Question! So how does that huge stencil help them with anything when it's between the ground and where they're trying to paint?

Looks like the old astro-turf at the end of it's life back in the 90's.

Yeah, they put more on. Remember what the field looked like when they took the grass out? Clear markings of the old paint on the dirt below the old turf.

From the article:

"Cyclones.com will provide more in-depth photos and video next week as facilities and grounds will add a second coat of paint to the midfield logo and end zones, as well as paint hashes, yard lines and boundaries".

Going to look SWEET!
