Cyclones, Wildcats link from The Pitch

A little late posting this, but here's more insight from Pollard on the Cyclones-Wildcats game.

Small-Market Scribblings - Cyclones, Wildcats play at Arrowhead in '09 and '10

Apologies if this has already been posted.

Re: Cyclones, Wildcats link from The Pitch

This line got my attention:

I asked Pollard if the 2010 scheduling had anything to do with Texas and Oklahoma coming back on the schedule -- and both are road games. "Don't think we didn't think about that," Pollard said with a sly grin.
Our AD thinks, doesn't he...

Attempt #4
The ongoing story of the persistent attempts to get to the other side.

Re: Cyclones, Wildcats link from The Pitch

Another reporter asked Pollard about the possibility of the game hurting the Cyclones' chances of playing in a bowl game.
"I hope that we have that problem," Pollard said. "It would be one heck of a problem to have, wouldn't it?"
Maybe it's just the way I read this but with next year the final year of the "easy" Big 12 rotation and Chizik's 3rd year I hope that expectations are higher than "hoping" that we have the problem of finding a 6th or 7th win. I think they probably are so maybe go ahead and say so? Or are my expectations out of whack?

Instead of playing three true road games at Texas, at Oklahoma, and at Kansas State, we are trading one road game for a neutral site. And, if you look at the 2010 schedule, we are supposed to play all of those games in consecutive weeks.
