Damn. Wish he could have developed under a coaching staff that taught to block downfield.

Re: Blythe is waived
I actually think he still has a shot. I hope Minnesota gives him a look, and think he could be quite useful in the red zone.

Re: Blythe is waived
Kind of doesn't surprise me. You have to play hard 100% of the time, not just when you are gonna get the ball.

Re: Blythe is waived
So...going back to the redzone post.....I don't see why he would be good in the redzone. Here is what I see in Blythe. He is slow...he would only be effective in the redzone b/c he wouldn't be effective anywhere else b/c it requires speed. Not surprised on this one at all.

Re: Blythe is waived
No one is going to carry a guy on their roster who might come in and make one or 2 plays a season.

I don't disagree...but I'd still like to see the Bears pick him up. At least he's not 140 years old like Booker, Brandon Lloyd makes Blythe look like a workhorse, Mark Bradley can't stay healthy for two consecutive games and Hester is a work-in-progress, at best, as a WR. Other than that, the Bear WR's are playmakers... -
Re: Blythe is waived
Hope some team lacking receiver depth/good receivers would pick him up and give him a shot. I'm looking at you Oakland, Minnesota, Chicago...

I guess for those that are a bit surprised by this, ya'll haven't exactly been watching a ton of ISU FB the last couple years.
Todd is a good receiver, but not great. I firmly believe he could have been great - but for various reasons, it did not happen.

Re: Blythe is waived
+1 to ISUFan and others.
For whatever reason, Blythe quit developing after his Sophomore year.
