Smoking in JTS

Hey was just curious what they new rule for smoking at JTS was since the new smoking ban went threw. I smoke but only when I drink, so does anybody have any idea. I think I remember a smoking area in the years past. But could be wrong.

I would imagine its not allowed, but not really enforced in the parking lots.
I don't know though.

No smoking in the stadium, as far as the parking lot, I'm guessing it'll be the same deal as glass bottles, maybe you'll get lucky, maybe you won't.

No. The law is specific concerning schools and public educational facilities, requiring that a university not allow smoking inside any vehicle located in a parking lot on the grounds of the university.

I love the smoking ban, and I think it is about time it happened. My wife gave up smoking almost 10 years ago, and I our lives are much better for it.

I was at Prairie Meadows Casino a couple months ago and a couple smokers were talking about the ban. One of them said, "Until they outlaw all those smokestacks pummelling smoke into the environment, I don't want to hear anyone complaining about my little cigarette!" Well, I say to that, "feel free to go sit on the roof next to that smoke stack and puff in as many cigarettes as you like."

I love the smoking ban but I think they are going to have a tough time enforcing that one in the grass lots.

I will assume there will be just as much smoking in the lots as ever... but it does not really bother me since it is a nice outdoor area. But at least we should be able to escape walking through the cloud of smoke going up the stairs on the west side of the stadium since there will be no smoking area there anymore.

I'm glad there is no smoking in the stadium, the smokers should get, however, a designated area away from the stadium if they feel the need to smoke during the game. Smoking in the parking lot does not bother me, since there is plenty of space.

I smoke and I don't care for the law. But basically only because it is one step closer to socialism. I understand the law but why can't people make their own decisions anymore as to what businesses the are patrons of and which they aren't. Why can't the people in charge of a public area decide what they want, owner's ect. People are getting dumber because the government is doing everything for them. It's depressing. I'm okay with not smoking in state facilities, schools, stadiums, etc thought.

If smoking is prohibited in the grass talegating lots, the police are going to spend their entire day writing $50 citations, there was a lot of ppl smoking in those lots in previous years. This would be pretty stupid imo to enforce if deemed in violation of the university code.
