Is it not possible to remove or trim the myriad of weeds/bushes/weeds from the west side of the stadium along the street? I was very impressed driving by yesterday on the east side looking at the new signs, etc. So... I went around the other side and you can't see squat. It would be nice if there was an open view there. I would think it would look impressive to see the upgraded west side along with the practice facility... Just a thought.

doesn't some of that ditch growth protect our outdoor practice field from spies?
The Mongols are a crafty lot. They'll soon be back with a way to get around the brush -- and with more Mongols. Perhaps the BB practice facility should be put on the back burner so that we can get a Mongolian-proof wall in place.

any wall that keeps mongols out is a friend of mine. I say do it before they have a chance to multiply and overwhelm us.
The good news for Kansas is that the football program has two new beautiful practice fields.
The not-so-good news for coach Mark Mangino, who learned to like secrecy to the max from former Kansas State coach Bill Snyder, is that the fields are in plain view of anyone walking by.
So the KU athletic department will pay for the planting of 100 pine trees that are 10 to 20 feet tall to obscure the view. Total cost: $90,000.
