My productivity has been dropping steadily since I hit my peak at 8:30 this morning.
This is the first opener I've missed in 9 years. I can't make the game, but now I'm leaning towards leaving work early so I can make sure I am drunk by gametime. I don't know If I can handle the stress of not being lit up before the game starts!

Now that's a true State fan Can't make it, but takes care of the festivities on your own time...I like it!
I need some help!!! I won the auction a couple of weeks ago to run onto the field with the team. I am meeting my athletics dept. representative at 6:30 at the Jack Trice Statue. My problem is, my wife does not get off work until 5. She works at the corner of 50th and I-235 in West Des Moines. I am going to be waiting in the parking lot for her.
What is the best way to get up to Ames from there that late in the time frame? I want to take into consideration parking and the best possible spot to park showing up so late. Where should we go?
Do you think we'll be able to meet our representative at the statue at 6:30?
The first game of the year makes me nervous as hell, I might have to have a few drinks before I go in. I really hope we do it and are not up by a precarious 3 or 6 pts going into the 4th Q. All of our openers in the last 3yrs have been too close and last year an unexpected loss.
By the way, if we do win by a s$%-load like we did with Wallace's first game: 45-0 over UNI in 2001, all of you can mock me tomarrow, I will welcome it.

Gamewatch at SportsCasters Bar & Grill in Ft Collins, CO! Made my buddy tell his Iowa fan wife she better leave her Hawkeye crap at home, they don't play till Saturday....
I'll be watching it time delayed as my daughter's preschool decided first day of college football would be a good day to have mandatory parent-teacher meetings.

When will Californians get their priorities straight?
