Kick or Receive?

Which will we be doing, and why would you want it that way?

Re: Kick or Receive?

According to my playcalling on NCAA 09 during the first game of the year, ALWAYS RECIEVE AND SCORE FIRST.

Re: Kick or Receive?

Defer, so you can choose to receive to start the second half.

Re: Kick or Receive?

I would kick. Our defense should be able to stop them on their first drive and get us some good field position.

Kick it - force the punt - return it for a TD - repeat.

I'm in the defer crowd...just like when I play NCAA Football...Let your defense make a statement that they're here to play.

Re: Kick or Receive?

Conventional wisdom says to always defer. Screw conventional wisdom in this game. Against this team, you take the ball, shove it straight down their throat for about 10 plays before punching it in for 6. That should let them know that the big boys came to play and we ain't screwin' around.

Re: Kick or Receive?

I guess the overall message here is: It doesn't matter as long as they MAKE A STATEMENT OF BEING HERE TO PLAY!!!!!!!!

Re: Kick or Receive?

Defer. Emotions will be high. You can use that on Defense but not so much on offense. Let the QBs relax for about 3 plays and then start on the Jacks side of the field!

I'm kind of a big deal!

Not looking like rain in Ames, it's beautiful out.

And I, Bruno, will dive 1,000 feet into a block of cement. On my head, yet!
