I prefer to stand at key moments and sit for the majority of the game but I would have no problem standing for the entire game, so I don't have a problem with people who want to stand. I guess I just don't have the personality to then stand in front of someone behind me that does not want to stand, so I end up missing some of the game. I know I should just stand and this will make the people behind me stand, but I just can't do that. I don't think much of our current fan base stood as students, but as more and more of the standing students graduate the trend will move toward standing. P.S. I thought the student section looked awesome from the other side of the stadium. Looked like there were two students for every 1 seat.

This argument is lame!
I think there is some happy medium, and I'm w/ CyAggie, either extreme is too far. If stand all the time was the rule, why don't we just take out all the bleachers - bet you could stuff more people in the stands that way... I'm probably more offended by the judgment of other fans commitment or enthusiasm. If I'm not rip-roaring-drunk and standing the entire game, does that knock me down a peg? In the student section, that's probably completely acceptable. I have not seen it happen, but if the "drunk-guy" that is the super-fan is reported to event staff, what would happen? I see visions of them being removed by security. I've been in sections 3 & 5 the last five years, and remember an older gentleman that had a really hard time getting up and down the steps. But that guy was there every game and I never saw him leave before the clock read 00:00 - is that adequate or his inability to stand for 3 hours not good enough?
I shouldn't get so wound up about it, but I guess my urge to stand the whole game coupled with my respect for those around me, and finally finding that appropriate balance (that would probably get me that "lame" label) fuels my rant. I bet my wife who was holding our 9 month old and had to mostly sit is "lame" too. Never mind that having the opportunity to go to all the games from birth could be a collection of great experiences and memories for him that could make another great Cyclone fan... Oops, he missed the CU game last year, but he was born on the 2nd and was 8 days old. Lame?
Maybe it's the "screw you!" attitude that got me going...
(ramble and rant over, just some of my thoughts/opinions/feelings...)

We sat/stood in B Row 23. Great seats where we were at, everyone was standing and cheering where we were at.

Be thankful for their contributions so that you have a team to yell for! Well, if they are sitting in Section B, they aren't donating THAT much anyway. I mean, what is that, a $100 donation?
I try to be considerate of those behind me if they don't stand. But I'll stand up and cheer on key plays, 3rd downs, TDs, kickoffs, etc. If you are standing the whole game and the people behind you are sitting, then you are probably standing too much. Just common courtesy. I'd say if you like to stand the whole game and the people behind you don't, walk over to the student section upper level. There are always seats and no one checks tickets. Great view from there too.

I would guess that about half of the front row had been standing at that point, in large part because it is impossible to see the field if you are sitting because you are looking at the backs of the players on the sidelines.

I bring this up every year during this debate, but they need to segregate sections based on whether standing is encouraged or discouraged.

I'd email Pollard about that. I guarantee he doesn't want anything to damper the enthusiasm of the student section. He'll fix that Per-Mar guy's attitude or send him packing.

Sorry for any confusion, but it wasn't the student section itself, but the sections to the South of the student section. Like 25-27ish I think.
