Section B=old people=lame fans

Wow is all I can say. 20 seconds after kickoff last night my group was being yelled at to sit down by fellow Cyclone fans. To go along with that these people were cussing at us and saying all sorts of not so nice things. My guess is that these were people that were moved with the reseating.

These self proclaimed long time great fans felt it was bad to stand up during the game, but ok to receive calls and call others on their cell phones. These great fans did not stand up even on third downs, some of these greats did not even stand up to cheer a TD!!!! Some of these great fans left with 2 minutes to go in the third quarter!

We were so excited when we got to our seats as we have not seen football for 8 months, our experience was quickly ruined. I actually had more fun and the UCONN game in 2002 and Baylor in 2005 if that is any indication of anything. Several of my friends that are not Cyclone fans have always said we have bad fans, now there is no way for me to defend our fanbase. I do not even look forward to going to anymore games in my section Anyone want to trade tickets?

Stand up and be proud! Screw them. I was in section C and it was only a little better. Last time I checked, it's okay to get excited at a football game.

Keep having fun! Screw those people, if they want to come to a game and sit, they might as well stay home and watch it on TV. College football games are fun to watch in person!!! Keep up your enthusiasm, it just might be contagious!

Go Cyclones!!

Give me a break........You can't defend your fanbase because of some old nellies sitting behind you????? Pretty weak buddy.

We sit 3rd row in section B and number 1.........We sit by some older Cyclone fans who are yelling right besides us and number 2..............I stand and yell and cheer and my voice shows it this morning. They'll get over it.

Question for the day: Can I still make season tickets work for FB and MBB if I move to Canada?

Section L is great, was last year and is this year...pretty much same people as last year and we have a few new energetic people.

4vrcy and ripvdub had some commotion over in M or N last night. Not quite sure what happened, but sounds like things got a little heated up there between fans.

I'll agree with you elsewhere, but realize that it was a weeknight, and some people not only lived in Des Moines (or further away), but might well have had to be at work as early as six am. Not everyone had the day off today, or lived relatively close by.

I was in M last night, but I saw something going on in N, two sheriffs and an old guy in a long discussion... They were standing up right in front of half the section.

I also am in Section B Row 3 and I will challenge your assertion that I am a lame fan, but CycloneRules91 might be old!

Thanks man! I have to go to a wedding next week though. Who gets married during football season?

I truly did have a lot of wind blown out of my sails after their initial outburst. Obviously it is still bothering me!
