• Running back Eugene Jarvis enters this season as the nation’s leading returning rusher after gaining a school record 1,669 yards last year. He posted 1,975 total yards and nine 100-yard rushing performances as part of his record breaking season. This kid is really pretty good. That back from SDSU had a lot more 6-8 yard gains than I'm sure Coach Chiz would have liked. | Go Clones! Go Knights! "I'm the Cenex Guy. That running back had some strong legs that kept on moving. I thought they were nuts running as we shut it down pretty well early on, but they seemed to get it going much better in the second half.

For as much as our defense was on the field in the first half, I think they did a great job shutting down the run.

this is my biggest concern, we arent ready in the middle yet, and they are going to know that.

The good thing is our guys were flying around and seemed to be in the right places... Bad thing is they weren't finishing tackles. Finish the tackes and our D will be ok...

We didnt have too much disturbance in the middle, the back was able to hit his hole, get nudged and then stretch for 4 or 5 more yards.. we need contact in the back field, Tuba and braaksma really did a nice job of this last year and people will notice that. I feel that they will gel a bit before big 12 play, but that is my biggest concern, aside from linebacker pass coverage in the middle.

We were alright- not great- but alright the first three quarters. It was the forth quarter where the Defense had the melt down. We can't do that in the Big12 or we may see allot of '05 type games- where we lead most of the game, only to lose in the last few minutes.
