They both look to address immediate needs, which is what JUCO players should do. Hopefully good gets.

So a class of JUCOs is all of a sudden good. I thought this staff was going to get away from getting a bunch of JUCOs, and 2 to play 2 guys. I trust the staff but we make fun of others that go JUCO heavy.

2 jucos is hardly a class of jucos, even 3 would be okay. anything over 5 is getting a little desperate. in our case though the three that we have or are chasing fill a need so im cool with it

I thought we had a few JUCOs already commit prior to these two so that is where I was coming from. There was another on campus this weekend. Carry on my part time half aed following recruiting info was wrong.

I think we may take as many as four JUCOs this year. In addition to the two we already have, we might get Darius Reynolds and James Carpenter. The two we have committed fill immediate needs, and Reynolds and Carpenter are just the type of athletes we can't pass on.

We all remember making fun of our little brother. And then that day came when you looked at him and thought "Crap, when did he become taller than me?" There comes a time when you just know your time has passed and it's their spotlight now.

Is anyone else not really excited about these 2 guys? I mean we were the only school to offer both players. So is everyone else missing out on these players? What does the coaching staff see in these players that everyone else doesn't.

Carpenter is supposedly an athletic guy with size who can protect the QB's backside against speed rushers. With Diedrick gone next year, I'd put him in the fill a need category.

Possibly, but I know the coaches are high on Hicks and Haughton, not to mention Hulbert who is already starting at RT, Baysinger if he ends up at tackle, and the young guys Klerekoper and Burris. Because of that, I don't necessarily see Carpenter as a need, but having him come in would still be a big bonus because he is talented enough to start.

Along with Center, LT is the most important position on the OL. I'm excited to see what the guys you mentioned can do. I'm just not sure that LT is their best position. That's why I hope to see Carpenter in next year's recruiting class.

Looks like 2 defenders have given verbal commitments.
Same school Hayworth Hicks played.
Do we have a tie/relationship with coach(es) there?
