ISU #5 in Maxim's "10 Worst College Football Teams"

FYI, they only selected BCS teams. Certainly not lovin' up on this (being on the list, not as much as the crap wrote) - especially being it was my first issue that arrived in the mail.

Ah, the American heartland - home of the towering cornstalks, youthful innocence, and...truly abysmal football. The 2007 Cyclones performed more like a faint breeze, drifting across the line of scrimmage for a meager 20 sacks and finishing 3-9. ISU dropped Big 12 powerhouses Oklahoma and Texas from its schedule this year, but with a leaky defense and no real quarterback, the Cyclones will still produce the worst losses in Iowa since Hillary **** the bed in January.

Lowlight: Iowa State has some of the worst graduation rates in the Big 12 - third to last among conference football programs last year. Maybe they just can't read the playbooks?

Lamest tradition: Since the early 1900s, giddy coeds have met under the school's clock tower to seal their love in a kiss. Those who do so at midnight supposedly become "true Iowa Staters". Whatever the hell that means.

Graduation rate is a short-term anomaly related to the coaching change. We were above average during the Mac era and will be again once we get into the Chizik era.

I think they had the same lists of schools last year. I have a subscription and am pretty sure they are all the same schools.

The only thing Maxim is good at is finding hot women. I don't put too much stock into their sports reviews...

It is Maxim, they don't know anything. What a tool this person is, they couldn't have found something better to make fun of us with? Seems like they were searching, plus we beat the some decent competition. The graduation rate has to do with the 2 main programs changing coaches. Burn it.

Got it to get some ideas for photos, but when it had the football list tagline on the cover, had to check it out and...there we were.

I did it not in terms of recent history, but overall program history. I could easily have thrown a couple more in there, as well.

Not possible being...

- Just showed up today
- It says Oct. 2008 on the cover
- The text specifically mentions the "2007 Cyclones".

But I'd assume we made the list last year too - with a 4-8 record and barely beating our patsy non-conference foes.
