0/3 in the red zone is unacceptable. Overall, I was pleased with our defense.

Still, I expected a loss, and I had a feeling that it'd end up like this. Still, Iowa never ran away with the game until the 4th quarter.
I'm still on board for 5-6 wins this year.

Clones put forth a good effort and fought like mad. just need to take advantage of opportunites better. this team will be alright. this was a good game for the young players to experience.
Iowa didnt get this one easy by any means. ISU gave them all they wanted.
Pretty much did not deserve to win that game. Went about as I expected, as both offenses were very ineffective.
Both teams missed a lot of chances to score. We just missed more of 'em
play calling was ridiculous, stupid penalties, wasted timeouts, and that penalty against leonard johnson was total ********... this was our game and we got screwed out of it
I didn't see much intensity from the team. The looked as excited as they were last year against Texas.
This wasn't our Cyclones today. They aren't that bad.
I really hope we can bounce back from this loss and win next weekend. I would be really happy with 3-1.

On the bright side, we stepped up our game after Texas whomped us last year. Hopefully this will light a fire for the UNLV game.
Yep. Gotta say I think if you were unbiased and combined rosters, there would be more Cyclones on there than Hawkeyes. Growing pains folks. While our exectution really stunk managing the clock, I liked our spirit and athleticism. Our young players look very good. Give it time, I think Chizik will get things going well for us.Quote:

the big play was the PF call on Johnson, that was total B.S. Letting Brodell get away made it look worse than it was. Good effort in a hostle crowd. Still need to figure out how to make that 3rd and 1.
