Bad Series Statistic

Since 2003, we have only mustered 8 offensive touchdowns in 6 games against the Hawks.

2003 => 3
2004 => 1
2005 => 2
2006 => 2
2007 => 0
2008 => 0

Not coincidentally, Iowa is now 4-2 in those six games. Somewhat disturbing is that during that time, our worst team arguably over the course of those six games, the 2003 team, scored the most offensive touchdowns (and second most points) against what probably the best Hawkeye team during those 6 games. Something is wrong with that. Also 2 out of the last 6 doesn't sound nearly as good as 8 out of the last 11.

I heard one from Jon Miller, ISU is 3-20 in field goals the last 3 games at Kinnick. ISU has a hard enough time scoring in the red zone as it is, you need to hit some FG's!

Let go of the past. The '09 edition of the Cyclones especially will have nothing to do with what happened in 2003. '04 to '07 either, for that matter.

I wonder if the long grass there makes it a little tougher for guys to kick there if they aren't used to it...

I was shocked how long that was, if I let my yard get that bad my neighbors would call the city!
