Neutral crowd
The last time we played in Vegas I remember it sounded like there were as many Cyclone fans as Rebel fans. I believe Pete and Eric even commented on it. I wasn't there but does anyone know how many Cyclone fans were there in 99 and how many are expected to show on Saturday. There Stadium holds 37,000 so even if we had just 6-8K of crazed fans it might not seem like a road game for our guys.

Re: Neutral crowd
My only concern would be the random fan support they may get by just beating the 15th ranked team in the nation.
That said, I feel somewhere around 10-12k is what we can expect. Easily enough to cause a ruckus.

Re: Neutral crowd
I don't remember how many thousands it was, but it was a lot. Everywhere you walked around Vegas that weekend you saw ISU shirts. There will be a large enough presence that the ISU fans will be heard. No offense to the UNLV fans here on CF, but Vegas fans aren't all that great. At the same time, the last time we played there we dominated, Reggie Hayward was a monster. It might not have quite a neutral feeling to it, but we'll make a significant amount of noise.

Re: Neutral crowd
Anyone know if the band, or a portion of them is traveling to Vegas?

Re: Neutral crowd
I know a lot of people going some I'm guessing there will be around 10k of Cyclone fans there.

Re: Neutral crowd
Seeing as for the last Shreveport bowl we took 10k fans.... that would be a HUGE showing for a regular season road game.

Re: Neutral crowd
I have heard from someone high up in the Alumni assoc. that it could be upwards of 14k ISU fans.

Re: Neutral crowd
I will be disappointed if we do not have 10K fans. We had a very loud group last time, and there fan base is not real loud and I remember the UNLV student section was not very big last time, but things might have changed.
Make sure if you are going to the game you have a way home from the stadium. Do not expect any cabs or buses out at the stadium.

I would rather go to a regular season UNLV road game than go to Shreveport again even if we were playing LSU. I mean Shreveport is a pile.

Let's get an "I S U" chant booming thru Sam Boyd before, durning and after our victory.... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. I went to both games in Shreveport and we had a great time. IMO, we're not in a place yet to complain about post season opportunities.

Haha true. Except the Bama ISU game was one of the best games I've been to.
Should be a fun trip this year. Wish I was going... chose at Iowa, OSU, KSU, CU instead.
