"The Cygarin Ratings is updated for this week. With three weeks under the belt, the ratings are starting to reflect this year's results....sort of. The bell curve continues to remain extremely flat. If this keeps up, it means that this is going to be one heck of a competitive season for nearly all teams.
UNLV jumped up to 84th as a result of the win, and Sagarin has Iowa State as a 2 point favorite. There are a fair amount of computer rankings that don't have Arizona Stater ranked overly high. UNLV is certainly a better team than thought at the beginning of the season, but it appears the win over ASU isn't that profound of an upset. UNLV is certainly above the "sure win" category now, though.
For Iowa, Pitt is going to be Iowa State caliber. It should be interesting to see how Iowa does on the road."

It's early in the season so the ratings are very skewed. Sagarin ratings are based off spreads - so if you don't beat the spread (or are much much below the spread like OSU) it will give you a bad rating.
