BWW sounds good to me too, before to long it looks like we will have another option next door to BWW too.

They are putting a bar in called the tilted kilt in the old north country steak house building.

Yeah, anyone know what's going on with that? They were working hard on it for a couple months before the flood - then they took all the signs down and didn't do anything for quite a while ... now it looks like their working again.

(my wife works next door and keeps me updated)

It looks like a Hooters type place ... between that and BWW I may never leave

I love the idea of that Pub coming in but really wish North Country would have made it. Every time we would come back to town that is where we met with friend for one night of good food and conversation. I loved North Country.

Their web site doesn't say when it will be ready at all, and I agree that I loved the steakhouse.

Atleast there is still Rubes for a good steak even though it is a hour away.

There are probably 3 Cyclone fans in CR so just have the watch at your house.

lol, sorry cys_av8er, had to put it, I think you'd be surprised at home many Cyclones there are all over the state, including eastern iowa. Theres more than just Ames...

Yep I always thought the quality was very similar I am just not up for making a 1 hour drive out of CR when I go back to visit. They have been getting better for restaurants around there. Last time we went out we went to Kaji(sp) and then another new one over near Marion by Carlos O'Kellys. They were both pretty good. I still want to check out Daniel Arthurs one of these times.

Never heard of Daniel Arthurs before but I love Kaji

Daniel Arthur's - Fine dining restaurant Cedar Rapids - Home

I have had friends that say it is excellent. May be a little pricey for CR but they said it was worth it.

I might show up at BWW, if I know there will be other Cyclones there - it's hard to find such a place in CR.

So the BWW on Blairsferry? That's what we've decided on right?

I've been here 6 years and never heard of Daniel Arthurs either... I was never impressed with North Country - but I'm not much of a steak fan, so that doesn't help.

I think Osaka is better than Kaji - but they're both a good time.
