I think if we would've had a timeout or not been so rushed on that final drive, the staff would've had more time to work that out. I would not have minded seeing it as well, but most likely the "right" call was made.

But I would've liked our chances going for 2 with how we were playing in the 2nd half.

IMO, the 2nd down QB draw in OT is what killed us there (outside of the obvious 1st half debacle).

Well, the losses are all non-conference and I think there's a lesson in each of them. This one hopefully hammers home starting the game well, and being prepared. It should also give them confidence in their abilities. Unfortunately the lessons couldn't be learned with a win.

I hope to never see a game start that sloppy and slow again, and would just be thrilled if they can play the conference season with the effort, focus, and passion of the 2nd half.

Here's my analysis:

We have a hell of a coach. He had to have gave a heck of a talk at the half.

Letting a crappy UNLV team jump out 21-0 is unacceptable. I never want to lose to a non BCS school ever again.

Will we ever win a road game? I don't think it will happen this year.

We're 2-2. Better than last year, but a LONG way to go.

Great comeback, but we didn't win, so in all honesty, I don't really care. Good work, but you didn't win. Nobody cares that you came back, they care that you won.

UNLV and Iowa are not very good this year, and we're worse.

Go Cubs.

1 play for 3 yards...UNLV a bit shellshocked and I think may have been out of timeouts...not a bad thought...however, I can't slam on the OT playcalling. They went for it all.

Personal fouls are out of hand, get those under control and start playing the full game, and this team will be a force. Even with a loss, Im excited for things to come.

Great second half effort, I was really amazed listening to the radio when AA led us 90+ yards for the tie..Awesome. But i wonder what would have happened if we'd went for 2? We had the momentum.

My question is what the hell was James Smith doing on that touchdown pass in overtime. He just jogged back to the play and then stopped running and watched the whole thing unfold. If he gets back and undercuts the route like a FS sound he either tips the ball away or picks it off. Unbelievalbe out of him.

i'm just wondering.... do we watch game film on our opponents? seems like we didnt know a thing about their offense and just had to adjust in the second half
