[quote=cycloneman003;639748]how do you deserve a win if you let a team go 98 yards in 1:34?
Score more points the rest of the game.

Score more points the rest of the game. no one deserved that win. we played a first half that wouldnt give us a chance against anyone, and they played a horrendous 2nd half. like i said, some one has to win

Re: ISU vs UNLV postgame thread
The first half of football was so bad every fan in section 130 got up and left.............myself included. Went back to hotel and sat in sports book of casino and watched the rest. I am still sick over what I saw the first half........................Vegas is great tho.
Huge number of fans for clones, too bad the team in first half let them down.

I was frustrated in the first half too, but if I'd paid to fly to Vegas and go to a game, I think I'd stay past halftime.
Did people forget our comeback against Colorado last year? Maybe after that and last night, people will think twice about leaving at halftime regardless of how far down we are. -

That is what I was thinking. I think our coaches must be very good at in game adjustments. If they can get better at pre-game preparation, we could really turn into something.
I am not all that upset after the loss. I was very impressed with our team on both sides of the ball in the second half. I really like the heart and desire of our players. We are in the second year of a new staff with a new system, playing lots of new faces. I really like LJ's fire and think people are being a little too hard on him. Coach him up, kid will be fine.

I don't feel too upset about the loss. Yeah, we lost, but, that second half from all that Ive heard is plenty to make me excited for this team and the rest of this season.

Re: ISU vs UNLV postgame thread
The first half definitely made me want to puke.
I was extremely excited during the 2nd half, it was a really fun game to watch as we came back.
The last 1:34 of the game was the most exciting drive I have ever seen ISU put together.... with NO timeouts. Arnaud was a true leader then, and during the entire 2nd half.
I had a bad feeling about OT though after we lost the coin toss, and then had to settle for a field goal.... and the reality of losing sucked.
I'm not sure what to expect from this team this season, and I'm not going to expect anything out of them. Any wins they can get from here on out I will be thrilled with. We have shown however, that we are still far too young and inexperienced to expect anything out of them. My prediction for the season of 6 wins will likely not happen, I am moving my prediction to 5 wins. Who are we going to beat? No idea.
What an emotional rollercoaster ride.

The d-ends were going right into the middle of the line giving up the outside. 2nd half d-ends were staying wide negating the whole outside sweeps. Things that make you go hmmm....

Re: ISU vs UNLV postgame thread
Quick thoughts of game:
1-First half was unacceptable, we won't win another game with that kinda preparation, I don't get it?
2-LJ's special, he has to manage that fire, I'm not worried...
3-Austen has to become more consistent, he missed way too many receivers.
4-ISU teams in the past would have never come back from a 21-0 deficit on the road, last night was an excellent example of what a good coaching staff can do...still doesn't explain the first half though...UGH!!!
5-This season still has a chance to be great.
