Big 12 stats
Big 12 Overall Stats 9-28 - Big 12 Conference - Official Athletic Site
We've upgraded to top kick return average, but otherwise these numbers are quite sobering.

Re: Big 12 stats
How does Texas Tech average nearly 100 yards of penalties per game?! That's insane!

Re: Big 12 stats
good thing you didnt try comparing Austin Arnaud's stats to other QBs in the nation, shall we say Tim Tebow....people around here dont really like that

Re: Big 12 stats
Not horrible, to be honest. And we've played stiffer competition than quite a few Big XII teams so far.
It's certainly not good, but we could be A&M....

Re: Big 12 stats
i havent looked, but i get the picture. just think about how much better we have looked this year and how happy we are about that. and then we see these stats and how much more we can still improve. good things are happening. there is no way to argue that, unless your name is MontyBurns

Re: Big 12 stats
The only thing that really concerns me going into Big 12 play on that list is RED ZONE SCORING %.
Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

I'd say we have played a VERY weak schedule so far. UNLV is the best team we have played. Name a Big 12 north team who has played a weaker schedule.

According to him, we've played a harder schedule than Texas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Missouri.
I can't say I disagree all that much.
Texas has played Rice, Arkansas, Fla Atlantic and UTEP.
Oklahoma State has played Troy, Houston, Missouri State and Washington State
Tech has played Nevada, SMU, Massachusetts and Eastern Washington
A&M has played New Mexico, Army, Miami and Arkansas State
Missouri has played Nevada, Illinois, Buffalo and SE Missouri State
I think ISU's schedule so far lines up pretty well with any of those....

Re: Big 12 stats
Well I said we played the hardest schedule in the north and I guess I still think so. Mizzou played Illinois and Nevada (who pounded UNLV). Buffalo is better than Kent State.

Re: Big 12 stats
Funny. After reading this thread, lots of the stats were actually better than I had expected from the doom and gloom. The one that concerns me is the pass defense efficiency, but like all of the stats, we're improving as the season progresses.

Re: Big 12 stats
Good to see Austin Alburtis tied for 7th in INT's. Hope he can keep it up -
Re: Big 12 stats
wow... kick return average... that's something to hang your hat on. Oh and beautiful that our safety is leading our team in tackles... yikes...

Re: Big 12 stats
Best thing: Turnover margin. This is important.
Worst thing(s): 3rd down conversions and red zone conversion. We need to keep drives going and finish them.
