Is this game on our lucky network or FSN?
Cuz you know, "pimpin' ain't easy..."
Our running game is suspect so the only way to increase offensive time of possession is the turnover battle. Our increased DB quickness will have to come through with some picks. That means AA and the RBs will have to do their part too keeping the turnover margin positive for us. That and red zone offense. It will have to be 7s rather than 3s or zeros. It will have to be our best game of the season. Hopefully similar to OU last year.
restaurants not to serve... never mind
I don't know about stopping them but their running game is pretty weak right now. I would really stack the line of scrimmage to slow the running game and try to generate a pass rush with run blitzes. I like our pass defenders right now, we'll see how they stack up against a real test.
Put two dozen Krispy Kreme's on the 20 yard line. Then get a 15 yard penalty every time Mangino runs out there to get them. Oops, make that every time Mangino orders one of the team's managers to run out there and get them for him.
And the biggest point is, we're not going to stop 'em. Oh, maybe one day, but not here, not now with a defense still in the first stages of transition to Team Chizik. Right now, we just try to slow them down, keep 'em within striking distance. That might be a mere 24 or 28 points, I don't know.
Then it's the offense and special teams' job.
Amen. nothing to lose--and everything to gain. No reason not to let it all hang out. What, we're saving something for Nebraska?Quote:
Try taking the game to them. If you lose, don't lose due to fear.
This was the only part of the post I quibbled with:
It's kinda hard to "sneak" a guy in when he wears a jersey #7, especially since that's the number the quarterback is wearing in our game film for the last four years. :wideeyed:Quote:

offense is the best defense. keep our o on the field.
I think this is the first in quite a few games the rest of the way where ISU is going to need to score at least 31 points to win.
