Bates watches Nebraska play

Anyone else just wonder even a little bit if he might be thinking of transferring and wanted to check out a school this weekend? No not the home team Nebraska, but VT?

OK. 95% of me knows that is a crazy thought, but the other 5% made me sick.

I think VT is alright at QB for the next few years now...

I actually could see him thinking about kNU. He'd sit out Ganz senior year and then have 2 years left. I doubt he'd be thinking about VT since they have a really good frosh QB in Tyrod Taylor. With every series that he doesn't get to play I think this becomes a more likely scenario.

I went to Iowa City one weekend during the summer to hang out with some friends...does this mean I want to be a Hawkeye or think of transferring schools? HELL NO

It's nearly impossible to transfer in-conference.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure players have to sit out the normal one year for a transfer, but they also lose that year of eligibility for in conference transfers. Plus, Iowa State would most likely not release him to specific schools like with Wesley Johnson.

Again, I'm guessing this is a complete non-issue anyway....just people bored at work with nothing else going on (like me!)

Ganz is a Sr. this year.

Coaches hardly ever release a player to the same conference, or a team they play in the near future

If Bates was there, perhaps he was watching some old team-mates/friends from his highschool that are on NUs roster.

Also what other major schools game is he logistically going to be able to see? NU is about it, as far as nearby traveling goes.

Probably. I just hadn't seen a post on that topic and figured way too many people would freak on it. Some of you guys take message board life way to serious.
