Pretty sweet encounter though. How long after that saturday did we announce gene as coach? She must have run into some disgruntled AD employee who wasn't in the greatest mood since we were getting beat down by ku?

I didn't buy it at the time, came in to work on Monday and tried to figure out who the mystery leak was talking about. I don't remember the co-coordinator at the time was, but that was my first guess. When the talk turned to Kelly, Brewster, Harbaugh, and Cosgrove, I just figured it was mis-information... Funny thing is, in 2007, we sat 2 sections over (from 3 to 5) and JP was regularly hanging out right next to where we were sitting.

And yeah, I had the whole story typed up more than once before, but canned it, figuring I'd get chastised...

The only weird part of your story in my opinion is that someone talked about it.

I'm sure the "feelers" were sent out to several candidates indirectly in the days leading up to Mac's resignation.

Lets be "real clear" boys...Iowa State has to find a way to beat Kansas...Mizzou & K-State or else Gene Chizik's stay in Ames Iowa is gonna be short-lived..

Over the course of the next two or three seasons? Yes - that would be true.
