If he's out the rest of the seasoN. That would be so unfair to lose a whole year of elegibility. He only played 3 quarters in the 1st game of the season

LJ, Benton, and Darks really impressed me today. LJ's pick was an amazing play, and Benton showed some real toughness as well. I also really like how tough Darks was running with the ball both after the catch and on his end-around. He took a few hits and carried a few guys to get a few tough yards.....I wish our RBs would do that a little more.
Oh, and that one catch by Sed was VERY impressive. I don't think any of our other receivers could have made that catch.....it really showed his physical ability out there. I think Darks is a little ahead of him in regards to running routes and getting open though......but of course the good news is that you can teach that easier than teaching height, speed, and body control.

If Banks can't go again this year there's always a chance at a medical hardship "redshirt". That's not known until after his senior year I think. He'll be playing next year assuming it's his last but there would be a chance at the 6th year. NOT if he plays again this year though.

BUT, BUT, BUT LJ SHOULD BE KICKED OFF THE TEAM! (extreme sarcasm)

"Seiler, on the option...trying to the turn the corner...HE POPS FREE to 40, to midfield, to the 40, to the 30, to the 20, inside the 10. Marvin Seiler almost breaks it all the way 77 yards to the Nebraska 3 yard line."

I love LJ. He's been my favorite newcomer since the first game. The dude is just a very quality football player and we'll have him for a while yet. It would be awesome to come into next season with him and Benton for our starters for the next few years.

How is it that out of all of the myriad cornerbacks we were recruiting last year, we somehow seem to have ended up with the two best?

Eric asked him something to the effect that if he was learning to control his emotion on the field and LJ said "Yes Sir!" | Do you like a big fat pig? Roasted? Open pit? The first four games were bad - I will reserve my judgment until he has four games without a PF. There is no question that the guy has an incredible talent, and I can't wait to watch him develop the next four years.

The only BAD thing about LJ is that he picked up some personal fouls this year. His playing ability has NEVER been in question and was really shown this weekend. He has been one of the best players on the team since day one. People on this board made way too big of a deal over a guy losing his cool. I remember Jared Homan tossing punches at guys and nobody caring. Apparently LJ is different.
