Um, I never said anything about his playing ability being bad? I just said that one good or one bad game doesn't make it a trend - several games do, and I hope that we're at the beginning of a trend of clean, fair, hard play.
And the Jared Homan comparison can't really be used here, as the board wasn't around when Homan played. I found that to not be a very good representation of the university, too - as I'm sure a lot of other people did.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he is the best player on the field for us. I have never seen a true freshman step in and do what he has done. He hits hard and plays every down until the whistle (sometimes after) but he is the best player

As far as Kennard, he's been practicing, so I'd be surprised if he isn't back on the field this year.

There were hotly contested threads about some particular PF's for two weeks in a row, but where was our thread entirely about how awesome Arnaud played in Vegas? No thread about Darks from yesterday. Mahoney could get his own thread darn-near every week.

Apparently, that boat wouldn't float.
And Mahoney could have his every week--just, the one after iowa might not have read as well.
But where is the discussion about O'Connell, who continues doing a nice job of returning punts, or Rashawn Parker, who got his first sack of the season, or Nate Frere, who broke through with another sack, or Chris Lyle, who has been tremendous all year, or Chris Weir, who set up Frere's sack, or Marquis Hamilton, who busted out of a slump in a big way, or...

In terms of raw talent, LJ is it. We havent had this exciting of a player on defense for a long time. I love his agression, i love his passion for the game and i love that he is a Cyclone.

I remember being most excited about him, of all recruits, after watching his videos. After signing day I almost completely forgot his name.
After watching the SDSU game I honestly remember thinking LJ might be the best player we have this year and has a great shot at being the best player to ever wear an ISU jersey. So much talent.

His interception yesterday was astounding. Had me thinking of Deion Sanders - except LJ hits a lot harder.
Neon Leon?

We seem to have a couple solid CB's in Benton & Johnson. Banks is a pretty big kid, with all the spread offenses I'd love to see Banks play safety for us. With all the 4 WR sets, we need as many coverage guys on the field as possible.

Neon Leon? Deion didn't know how to hit
Speaking of hitting, what about the lick Hunley had on their TE... |

I think that Banks will be back in the next few weeks. He's practicing already, but probably no contact. Bolt said that he hacked off part of his cast that went above his elbow after the almost had a pick in practice but couldn't hold on to it due to the cast. They're calling him "Dr. Banks".

I'm expecting Banks back for at least the last 4 games. That'll be 9 weeks of healing time. Should be more than enough.
Would be huge if we could get him back sooner.

Great day for Leonard Johnson! I am glad he is still playing hard and agressive and has been able to mend bridge between being agressive during play and stop when whistle blows! I do believe he could be very important to ISU.
