If you were at the game today as a recruit how would you come out feeling about ISU?

I would be excited. Seeing Chiz change this team from what we were last year to just needing a few more players to really putting this team over the top.

Exactly right. What a GREAT group of freshmen. Add in the DT that played too.

I remember feeling this way in 99, when it seemed like we lost three or four games that could have been won by turning just a play or two around. 2000 was one of our best years ever.

Obviously a win would have been better, but at least today's game allows the coaches to say we aren't too far away from being at KU's level and possibly past it. We certainly were not completely outmatched, and I think that should help a bit. Although they probably would have had more fun tonight if we would have won......

I've had that feeling so far this season too, like it reminds me of 99. 2000 we were 9-3. I don't consider this season a loss quite yet though, as I said in the post-game thread, if we can somehow pull out a win at baylor next week, I'll consider it a wash.
