Ending question

Would you rather have lost the way we did OR lost by moving the ball and missing the field goal.

Obviously we all wanted the win, but I'm just asking for these two outcomes. I personally choose the way it went down because the loss is on the team and not so much the kicker.

Been there, done that too often in the past. That's an easy question. Of course the way it went down yesterday.

Re: Ending question

I would have liked to have at least a CHANCE to win it which our offense didn't give us after that perfect onside kick recovery. 10 times out of 10 I'd rather lose on an attempt at a win vs the non-attempt we had yesterday.

I can sometimes understand missed field goals, I can never understand dropped passes that hit you in both hands.

Re: Ending question

No disrepect meant, but I think this is a dumb question to ask. We would rather win.

To quote I believe Leo Deroscher (sp??)-it might have been someone else, but anyway the quote is "show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser"

I liked the fact we were being agressive and tossing the ball for the score. Good teams keep agressive. Look at KU, they beat us on the fact that they went for it on every 4th and it worked out. They have that confidence and I want us to have it too. It just didnt work out yet, but its getting there.

Charlie Mackenzie: No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

Re: Ending question

Let's rephrase the question. Do you want to be hit in the face with a sledgehammer or a baseball bat?

Actually I would rather lose the way we did yesterday. If we lost on a missed FG, too many people would blame the kicker and say if only we had a good kicker (which we do seem to have).

According to my "rep," I am no longer a glorious beacon of light...but a name known to all

I'll take it a step further......I would have much rather have NOT recovered the onside kick then recover the onside kick and then do nothing with the ball.

Neither. I'd rather win. Losing is losing.

Especially since that last pass you're trying to slide away from might have been three inches from being a touchdown.

Wood or aluminum? Who's swinging? Am I a zombie? I'll make a matrix for you later based on the answer to these questions.

As long as we're losing the game, I'll take the way we lost yesterday. Not as stressful as a game-winning kick situation, and I feel Mahoney would take a lot more heat for missing a kick than our receivers have for dropping passes.

TRUE AND VALIANT
