We have forced the most turnovers in the country. Not just the Big XII but all Division 1 teams. We will be in a lot of games and may shock some teams if we can keep this up.
Part of the reason we lost to KU was because we only turned two of our four turnovers into points, and I believe they were both field goals. 6 points off four turnovers, and we lost by two.

But I agree, takeaways are never a bad thing.
That and the fact that one of our turnovers was inside the 10 and the other got KU the ball inside their 10. I really beleive had we not had that interception we would have won that game by double digits.

Arnaud's fumble just before halftime was a killer. We could have gone up 27-0 instead of 20-0. Four-possession game instead of three, and may have been a backbreaker for KU.

Stop! your reasoning just depresses me.

I have heard that GC and co. want two things out of our defense: Physical play and forcing turnovers. This is why the trouble with PF's early on. From what I hear, they have the D whipped into a frenzy like a bunch of crazed dogs (ala LT from the NYG). I love it. Emotion is going to play an even bigger role with a young team. That is why some of our young guys have trouble keeping things in check. Our team hits hard and goes for the ball though. I would hate to be a TE that has to play ISU. I know somebody in Lawrence still has a ringing in his ears.

I love that our defense plays with so much emotion, but we need to start making some stops when we need them. We need to adjust better when things aren't working. KU threw all over us in the second half, but if we keep on forcing those turnovers, we might be able to surprise a few people
