Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Just wanted to cruel and beat IowaGrantCy to it....
The Illini seem like they don't have the magic of last year right now. Can't happen to a better program.
Sorry.... I really care less... Just wanted to be a jerk since he will bring it up..:skeptical:
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Gotta give credit where credit is due. Brewster is doing a pretty good job up there at Minnesota.
Chizik is still our man though.
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Minnesota outgained by about 220 and they won on he road. Juice threw for over 460.

Wow I didn't realize that....
Although, I'm starting to feel better about playing Colorado. Well dang its out there... I still think we have a chance though. Switched to Ku ending....
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Sounds like an indictment of Zook's gameday skills more than an endorsement of Brewster's coaching.
At any rate, Minnesota is certainly on the upswing.
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Most the fans were not real happy with their one win season after Mason was let go. Or at least that was over all message I got from the 10 gopher fans I actually know, which is sad in itself considering i have lived in MN for 10 years. They are definitely changing things around fast, must be nice playing in the Big Televen.
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Good for him and them.....I wouldn't trade in a million years though.
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
I wouldn't trade either... Just wanted to be a jerk today
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
I'm happy for Brewster and the gopher fans up here in the cities, they've waited a long time to see a little light shine on them.
But remember the conference they play in and their schedule when comparing our program with theirs.
I'm liking where we are headed and the realistic, honest approach Chiz has when dealing with the media and fans.
I'd love a home and home with them in the coming years.
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
This is a question so please don't take it personally.
Why do we discuss Brewster on this board? You realize that he was never a candidate for the ISU job, don't you?
The ISU AD staff (mostly JP) never knew who Brewster was until after the MB fodder hit the wall. To Brewster's credit, he was able parlay that fodder into the Minny job.
FWIW- When they followed up w/ several common contacts to ask about Brewster, they were glad they never looked at him. Only time will tell if that works out if you are a Brew fan.

IIRC, I think Brewster claimed he turned our job down, when in reality he wasn't a candidate. I think that's why there's some animosity towards him.

460? By Juice? Wow.
Re: Manditory Tim Brewster Wins Again Thread
Ahhh! Thanks for clearing that up.
Now I am up to speed!
