Waco SUCKS

Just got back from the trip. Do not ever, I repeat do not ever, go to a game in Waco unless A) you live in TX and its a rare opportunity to see the Clones, or B) want to go to every stadium in the Big 12 and your checking the list. Every thing sucked. There was nobody tailgating, the few Baylor fans we ran into were aloof and cold, the whole area around Floyd Casey has a creepy vibe, etc. Thank god we ran into some AMAZING Cyclones who we had a good time with, but otherwise it was an awful game day experience all around. Blech...

once again, sour grapes. same report after the UNLV embarrassing loss. we have our own problems. not good form to go after the former bottom dweller of the Big 12.

With all those negatives they have better talent and kicked our rears - how sad is that.

Would like to see a report on the trip the next time we go down there and win by 4 TD's instead of losing by 4 TD's.

Actually, I've been to Waco. I've seen their stadium, and was wondering what people would say after they came back from the game. I personally thought it looked like a horrible place to play football, and the town itsself feels like you've taken a time warp back to the 60s.

It's very sad. This is not sour grapes, everything I observed was a pre-game opinion. I've been to 3 other Big 12 stadiums, watched us lose every one and would recommend going back. I can not say the same for Waco.

Grant, Waco is a hole and a horrible gameday experience. This isn't new information and is a fairly universal opinion. I doubt it had anything to do with the outcome of the game.

I actually thought their stadium itself was very nice, but the setting and their fans were awful. Places like Nebraska and KSU I've ran into really cool fans, but not here. Every body seemed like the old money frat set, and they made it very clear that they were better than a bunch of land grant hicks from "up on the prairie" as they put it.

Also, I'm sick of the "sour grapes" rebuttal. UNLV's stadium, crowd, atmosphere did suck, lose or not. I belive him that Waco sucked as well.

The stadium itself is decent I agree - but the town is just horrible. There is really nothing to do, and the area around the stadium I agree just has this weird vibe.
