Who would you name as a TEAM MVP thus far? Yes, ISU as a team has underachieved, but who do you feel is the Most Valuable Player on our team?

    Arnaud, or maybe Mahoney?

Midseason grade would be a C-. I was really hoping to be 4-2 mid-way through the season rather than 2-4. I do see a lot of potential especially with the young wide receivers and defensive backs. Leonard Johnson is special.

Yup, no question that he is going to be a name that people around here and possibly around the nation, remember for a very long time.

I'm sure Omar Clayton hasn't forgotten him.
Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

    Re: ESPN's ISU Midseason Report

I think this was a rather fair report. Nothing that was said about the Cyclones in his report really suprised me. Granted, I thought we would be (like was said earlier) more like 4-2 than 2-4, but I do still see potential. What I don't like is hearing one of our players saying that they 'gave up'. Wow!! Good thing he didn't say 'quit'!!

I was expecting us to be about 3-3 at this point. We have a lot of freshmen that have huge potential, but they're freshmen so they're going to make you wonder what they were thinking a lot of the time and our record shows that.

    Re: ESPN's ISU Midseason Report

I would say it is a fair assessment for our season so far. We have underachieved and are inconsistent, but those things happen when you are playing so many young players. Things look bright for upcoming seasons and we as fans need to stay with this team because we have some young play-makers on both sides of the ball.
    Go Cyclones!!
