Darks will break Todd Blythe's record for most receptions in a career. He has 19 catches through 6 games and has been getting better every game. If he just stays at this pace, he will have 38 for the season (Blythe had 39 his Freshman year).
Darks is already developing into a complete receiver. He's not afraid of contact/going of the middle, we are running bubble screens for him, and he has been a deep threat at times. I'm looking forward to watching Darks play for the next 3 1/2 years.
he will have a shot at the reception record. he doesnt have a prayer at the yardage though because a lot of his catches are short quick routes, but he is quickly becoming one of our most reliable WR's. I personally see him as our second best right now behind RJ
Its about time somebody started talking about this guy. He, along with Leonard Johnson are the two of the best players on the team and they just got their diplomas a few months ago.
I think Sedrick will catch more balls than Darks. Also I think SJ could be the next go to receiver in the redzone. Instead of fade to Blythe, it's fade to Sedrick (or Seeeee-Drick like that idiot announcer for the game).
If we are looking into the future I am more excited for the Bo Williams/Jeremiah Schwartz backfield than our WR's (been a long time since I've been overly excited about our running game) but I think Sedrick will have more when its all said and done. Should be fun watching SJ and DD for quite awhile now.
Daruis is really impressive.. He also dinged up his shoulder the sunday before the baylor game, and then landed on it during the baylor game, which is why we saw him go out. But he is extremely tough for a freshman.
Blythe's records are not unbreakable by any account. After hearing other schools recieving records they are not huge numbers. Heck he didnt lead the team in catches his last 2 years.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne
