Re: Enough Tiller Talk
FWIW, Tiller was often better than Bates in practice.

I'll believe it when I see him on the field and not before. Beware Cyclone fans, don't get drawn into the grass is always greener scenario.
As for the first post, being 2-10 means nothing, just like being 10-2 means nothing. There is more then one player on a football team. My high school won state in football and basketball in the same year, not one player played at the next level- the reverse can also be true. Great post.

Re: Enough Tiller Talk
Jay Cutler is to Vanderbilt as Jerome Tiller is to ........
Great test question
BTW the answer is a probably a crappy team. see how it worked out for Cutler

For further overusing the "worst. post. ever." burn I label your post, the worst post. Ever. Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -

Tiller might be good, but have we not learned our lesson yet with Bates. This same talk circulated around when Bates came in and he didn't pan out to be that great at QB. I don't recall a whole lot of talk about Bates being a great QB, just a great athlete, which is pretty much undeniable. I didn't think Bates really pushed AA for the top spot at any time, the coaching staff was just trying to get him in games at any cost. I've never seen JT even take a snap, but I believe he will be more of a challenge for the starting spot the rest of this year than Bates ever really was. -

You are right. He sucks...

"You know nothing of the football team/program/other players."
I live in Ames, played football at ISU, know several players and attend practice regularly.

Re: Enough Tiller Talk
Just stating the facts. which is more than I can say all the Tiller worshipers out there. AA is going to be a great QB for ISU if given support and a chance.

Re: Enough Tiller Talk
Can we just all agree that
A) the best for ISU is to have Tiller red-shirted for the rest of the season, otherwise he will only be here one year longer then AA. If he is as good as they say, I would like to see him here at least another 4 years.
B) to let Tiller prove himself to us without the added pressure to be the next coming, consequently a big let down if he doesn't fulfill.
C) to quite acting like hawk fans by always cheering for the backup.
Everyone agree? End of thread.

Re: Enough Tiller Talk
Arm strength will help him, but the key to his success will be his accuracy, how quick his release is and if he can read the defense. From looking at his video, he's not going to be a running qb in the Big 12.

Re: Enough Tiller Talk
Is anybody really wanting Tiller to start until Arnaud is gone? Why even start this thread? Would you prefer it if we thought he sucked?
