I put this one on the coaching staff and no one else. Their lack of adjustments are really lacking. That zone they played in the first half was just awful and Ganz just picked it apart. Chizik better get his act together and get it together fast.

I agree with this also. Once you're past the half way point of the season, no one on the football team is "young" anymore.

You made a good point. Alum should be ashamed of himself far attacking Jason & his recruitment and for making such absurd statements. He was so injured in high school that he only ran for over 6000 yards and played -- didn't sit on the bench, but played -- on a team won the state championship his jr. and sr. years. Scales isn't the first player who didn't accomplish everything that might have been in college because of injuries and he won't be the last. He deserves credit for continuing to work hard and do whatever he can to help the team, and he's still the best blocker we have in the backfield.
Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

I didn't attack anyone, but thanks for sensationalizing my post. Just pointing out a fact. He played through injuries in high school, and that's great. There is nothing absurd about what I posted and I said nothing negative about Scales himself.

So, who should be ashamed here?

In 4-6 years if this kind of crap is still going on, then Ill change my mind, but currently I believe the Chiz is the right guy for ISU, even if these first couple seasons dont show it.

Agree 95%, trick plays, not so much but to me the whole offensive scheme is awful.

You called Jason Scales an example of one of Mac's "poor recruits". He was such a "poor recruit" that he also had offers from Kansas, Iowa, and Northwestern. All teams that have been pretty good during Jason's career, and all teams that will be in bowl games this year. If you think Scales was a "poor recruit", you don't know enough to call yourself a fan.

Please quote the post where I referred to Jason Scales as a "poor recruit."

Gee. I thought I was p.o.'d about the game today.

Only thing I've gotta say, is you guys need to lock up your firearms, sharp objects, and get the wife and kid to the battered women's shelter tonight, before you do something rash.

You'd think no-one here has ever been an ISU fan during the last 40 years....

What a low class embarrassing idiot. Frankly, his last ten years or so were very average.

Keep it clean and on topic - no name calling or putting down others!
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
