I think he has some upside, but I'm not going to bank too much on him until he shows it on game-day. As a lifelong Cyclone fan, it's hard to expect anybody to live up to the hype since hey very rarely do.
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.
Guys like Scott Haughton and Keleche Osemele are going to be all conference before their career is over.
Come on. You are still buying the 'we've got more talent on our scout team OL than our starting line (circa fall '07)' comments? Aclone, while your optimism is nice sometimes, I also wonder if you're not an Iowa fan or Nebraska fan hell bent on making clones look like Ostriches sometimes. If those two kids were half as good as we internet fans hope, our OL wouldn't be as putrid as it is now. I hope they do become solid contributors, and maybe all-conference, at some point. However, I refuse to continue to buy into how many studs we have that are on scout team year in and year out only to wonder when they might start contributing when it counts.
