Sarcastic bright side
At least we don't have to play Texas this year.

Re: Sarcastic bright side
it goes to show how critical 2009 is. If we can't get results in 2009 (before we play TX, OU, and Tech in 2010), you gotta wonder why we went through all the turmoil since Nov 2006.

If budget is a concern now, imagine what it would be without the millions from the Big 12??? Just my two cents.

How does it matter if Texas and OU are back on our schedule in 2010? This attitude puzzles me. Even if we were to lose to both of them, we can still go 10-2, which I think most people would consider a damn fine season.

While we at, I am going to get into shape, get my teeth whitened, make several million and plan to ask out Penelope Cruz in 2010.

My point, since you apparently didn't catch it, was that having those two on our schedule doesn't automatically count as three of four losses apiece. Just having them on the schedule doesn't sink the season by default.

Re: Sarcastic bright side
I think he gets your point. His point is though that if the three teams we play from the south are UT, OU and Tech, then more that likely ISU will have 9 games to win six to go to a bowl. Thats 6-3 vs Neb, Mizzo, Kansas Colorado, Iowa. One of those years I think ISU plays Utah too.
Based on past logic, 6-6 is unacceptable so really they need to win 7-8 of those 9 games. Seems unlikely to me but despite that I think most will continue to buy tickets, increase their Cyclone Club donation and post idiotic messages after brewing up more cardinal and gold kool-aid.

so we are already conceding that we will lose to ou, texas, and ttech in 2010. that's good news, now i won't waste any gas money coming to any of those games since it's fact we are gonna lose. prolly get flamed for this, but that kind of talk is pretty weak sauce imo.
we have been horrible the last 2 weeks, and maybe we won't look a whole lot better the rest of the year, but i hope and believe that in 09 we will be better than 08 and in 2010 we will be better than in 09 with a legitimate shot to win at least 1 of those 3 games.
i don't want to make this a your a good fan you suck as a fan debate, but the defeatist attitude that many have had since 2006 wears on me.
what if we were to somehow turn this around this year and next? would people still forfeit our chances against ou, texas, and ttech in 2010 because they have more tradition? or would we then be considered to have a chance?
why do i feel like a cubs fan right now? am i the only one screaming for isu-It's gonna happen!?

Re: Sarcastic bright side
speaking of sarcasm... a friend from church was walking up the stairs at the end of the game and she said "the game may have ended bad, but at least it was expensive" That got a good laugh
