For the last couple of years I wasn't sure if the reason we couldn't run the ball was a bad OL or bad RB. The one play on Saturday where ARob took it to the house answered the question for me definitively - its the OL. We have the RB now if he could get blocking like that even half the time we would be in business.
that was great blocking and very good vision by ARob on that run. I dont believe that ARob is a great running back, but he is pretty good. our O-Line is pretty sad right now though. take away that run then AROB had 20 yards on like 10 carries... not good
So if we know our offensive line is so bad why not play the fullback more to add another blocker or throw the ball more?

If we added the fullback we would have the congestion due to bad blocking 2 yards deep instead of at the line of scrimmage like we get with the tight end.
We have not had a good line since Steve Loney left.
Well if that is what they are doing it isn't working either.
That might be the point of the whole thread--that the offensive line needs to improve. They will (like last season)--it's just a question of "how soon".
