Be realistic
The only reasons you don't play Tiller if AA is hurt that bad. 1. It will hurt his Arnauds feelings 2. Arnaud is just a better player even playing hurt. Why the hell would you redshirt someone that IF YOU KNOW he can single handedly keep you in a game or even two games? Fans, quit over hyping our players, I will believe the Bo Williams and Tiller hype when Arnaud doesn't start next year, and William runs for a 1000. If Tiller starts next year, and we only win one more game this current year, why start with a "green" quarterback again NEXT year? I don't care about 4 years from now. If we have a backup QB by then maybe we should redshirt him.

Re: Be realistic
Most ISU fans don't grasp the concept that 99 percent of teams have one QB and stick with them. Look at every other Big 12 team. When their team is struggling they don't put in another QB. They stick with their man. Why should ISU be any different?
Also I am not buying into the Bo Williams hype. I am putting all my hype into Schwartz

Re: Be realistic
The true freshman backup QB is always better. How do you know he will keep you in games. If he is so good DONT PLAY HIM, I will say it again it can do damage to him to play him when the play around him isnt going to be good. At this point what does 2 more wins get you?

Re: Be realistic
Gene has a big dilemna since PB left unexpectedly. PB caused a bigger problem than he should have when he walked (not quit).
Colorado put in their redshirt qb and won last Saturday. Dan fired his son and inserted newbie for the victory after the crowd told him to.

My opinion is: AA is NOT the major problem. An inexperienced QB can get into a lot of bad habits having to play every down as if its 3rd and 10 BUT
If Tiller is heads and shoulders above AA in abilities, not experience, he should have played two games ago. My reasoning: if Bates were still around, he would have played at Baylor and Nebraska. Maybe Tiller wants the redshirt, I don't know. I will just trust the coaches, I am just trolling for opinions. Go State.

If he were head and shoulders better he would have played. I also agree with you on the bad habbits. We really don't have the team right now to develop a true freshman QB. There are a lot of things that need to improve before we start winning. I really doubt there are any true freshman out there right now that would come in here and make us look like a better football team. I'm really not trying to slam ISU. It just seems painfully obvious to me that as a team we are not ready to compete in the Big XII this year.

Precisely my main man...YOU LEAVE AT THE END OF THE SEASON & YOU QUIT AT MID SEASON!!
I think that essentially covers it ....

He didn't quit? What did he do then?

Re: Be realistic
Wesley, you really need to knock off the (not quit) thing whenever you talk about Bates. It's really causing serious issues for some of our posters
On the other hand, I think it's hilarious you're always able to get at least one person all riled up
